"Our Farm In Bloom"
We had someone fertilizing the pasture last week and he left the gate open. Well, I started hearing "moo" sounds coming from the back yard. I opened the door and there was about 50 cows and calves all around my yard.... I just knew they had eaten my plants. I started hollering "haw" to them and then here came the dogs pouncing through the door. Elwood, the Min Pin weighs all of 10 lbs was the first one out the door and then Petey Pie whose head is bigger than all of Elwood. They both start rounding up all the cows and ran them right back through the gate. I just love me some good 'ole cow dogs. Our pit bull- Tick...well, she just stood on the porch and cheered Elwood and Petey on by barking instructions to them. No plants were harmed!!

"Water Aerobics"
Bill has lost about 25 lbs in the last 4 months. I hope I can do that too.
Its suppose to snow here tomorrow. Maybe an inch or a little more. Well, its so funny because schools are already announcing school & work closings for tomorrow and it hasn't even snowed yet. I guess the south is just not as prepared as the folks in the north.
Going to church, then home and trying to stay warm! If it snows I will post pictures.

"Two thousand and ten"
I started a new eating habit this year. To eat better foods and try to help myself have a healthier life style. I even joined a gym with my husband. It is a Wellness & Aquatic Center. So, I do the swim aerobics and he does all the other stuff. Hopefully when I get stronger I will be able to join him in all his exercise. Its fun and I really enjoyed it. No one was a skinny, young thing in a bikini. They all looked like me and some were even older!! I go again in the morning and I am looking forward to it.
Praying that God will bless my family and friends with a wonderful year. Good health and blessed times together. Thank you Lord for all you have done for me and are going to do for me this year.

"Glory?"
Is it a place? Or is it a place of well being? Or is it a thing or person?
We hear so much about "Old Glory" which is our flag. Then you hear the term "Glory Of God", and give "God the Glory".
The following definitions are a few of what I found:
Glory is the manifestation of God's presence.
Glory is also an optical phenomenon produced by light reflected toward its source by a cloud of uniformly-sized water droplets.
Glory can be an effusion of light around a saintly person; ex: Halo
Glory also means praise, honor, bliss,& splendor.
What would your definition be of Glory?
God is glorious! What is this glory? How do we conceive of this glory? The glory of God has surely been revealed in the Bible with brightness, light, fire, and shining.
The glory of God in essence is "all that God is!" Everything about God is glorious!
His love is glorious! ---it's glorious to be loved by God.
His forgiveness is glorious --- to be washed clean from our sins by the blood of Jesus.
His grace is glorious - - While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
His righteousness is glorious.
His truth is glorious.
His purity is glorious.
His kindness is glorious.
His universe is glorious.
His Heaven is glorious.
His way is glorious.
His creation is glorious.
His Word is glorious.
Glory, glory, glory - - - every quality that is desirable is God. His glory is all that God --- His fullness. From Genesis to Revelation the unfolding of God's glory is revealed.
Think on these things

"Our President"
Story by: Bruce Vincent
For those of us who sometimes find ourselves having doubts about our
President, here is an excellent piece--- worth every minute it takes
to read it. This is from a man, Bruce Vincent, from Montana who
received an award from the President. He writes:
I've written the following narrative to chronicle the day of the award
ceremony in DC. I'm still working on a press release but the White
House press corps has yet to provide a photo to go with it. When the
photo comes I'll ship it out. When you get done reading this you'll
understand the dilemma I face in telling this story beyond my circle
of close friends.
Stepping into the Oval Office, each of us was introduced to the
President and Mrs. Bush. We shook hands and participated in small talk. When the
President was told that we were from Libby, Montana, I reminded him
that Marc Racicot is our native son and the President offered his warm
thoughts about Governor Racicot. I have to tell you, I was blown away by two
things upon entering the office.
First, the Oval Office sense of 'place' is unreal. The President later
shared a story of Russian President Putin entering the room prepared
to tackle the President in a tough negotiation and upon entering the
atheist muttered his first words to the President and they were "Oh,
my God."
I concurred. I could feel the history in my bones. Second, the man
that inhabits the office engaged me with a firm handshake and a look that
can only be described as penetrating. Warm, alive, fully engaged,
disarmingly penetrating. I was admittedly concerned about meeting the man. I think
all of us have an inner hope that the most powerful man in our country is
worthy of the responsibility and authority that we bestow upon them
through our vote.
I admit that part of me was afraid that I would be let down by the
moment - that the person and the place could not meet the lofty
expectations of my fantasy world. This says nothing about my esteem
for President Bush but just my practical realization that reality may
not match my 'dream.'
Once inside the office, President Bush got right down to business and,
standing in front of his desk, handed out the awards one at a time
while posing for photos with the winners and Mrs. Bush. With the
mission accomplished, the President and Mrs. Bush relaxed and
initiated a lengthy, informal conversation about a number of things
with our entire small group. He and the First Lady talked about such
things as the rug in the office. It is traditionally designed by the
First Lady to make a statement about the President, and Mrs. Bush
chose a brilliant yellow sunburst pattern to reflect 'hope.' President
Bush talked about the absolute need to believe that with hard work and
faith in God there is every reason to start each day in the Oval
Office with hope. He and the First Lady were asked about the impact of
the Presidency on their marriage and, with an arm casually wrapped
around Laura, he said that he thought the place may be hard on weak
marriages but that it had the ability to make strong marriages even
stronger and that he was blessed with a strong one.
After about 30 or 35 minutes, it was time to go. By then we were all
relaxed and I felt as if I had just had an excellent visit with a
friend. The President and First Lady made one more pass down the line
of awardees, shaking hands and offering congratulations. When the
President shook my hand I said, "thank you Mr. President and God bless
you and your family." He was already in motion to the next person in
line, but he stopped abruptly turned fully back to me, gave me a
piercing look, renewed the vigor of his handshake and said, "Thank you
- and God bless you and yours as well."
On our way out of the office we were to leave by the glass doors on
the west side of the office. I was the last person in the exit line. As I
shook his hand one final time, President Bush said, "I'll be sure to
tell Marc hello and give him your regards."
I then did something that surprised even me. I said to him, "Mr.
President, I know you are a busy man and your time is precious. I also
know you to be a man of strong faith and have a favor to ask you."
As he shook my hand he looked me in the eye and said, "Just name it."
I told him that my step-Mom was at that moment in a hospital in
Kalispell, Montana, having a tumor removed from her skull and it would mean a
great deal to me if he would consider adding her to his prayers that day. He
grabbed me by the arm and took me back toward his desk as he said, "So
that's it. I could tell that something is weighing heavy on your heart
today. I could see it in your eyes. This explains it."
From the top drawer of his desk he retrieved a pen and a note card with
his seal on it and asked, "How do you spell her name?" He then jotted
a note to her while discussing the importance of family and the strength
of prayer. When he handed me the card, he asked about the surgery and the
prognosis. I told him we were hoping that it is not a recurrence of an
earlier cancer and that if it is they can get it all with this surgery.
He said, "If it's okay with you, we'll take care of the prayer right now.
Would you pray with me?" I told him yes and he turned to the staff
that remained in the office and hand motioned the folks to step back or
leave.
He said, "Bruce and I would like some private time for a prayer."
As they left he turned back to me and took my hands in his. I was
prepared to do a traditional prayer stance - standing with each other with
heads bowed. Instead, he reached for my head with his right hand and pulling
gently forward, he placed my head on his shoulder. With his left arm
on my mid back, he pulled me to him in a prayerful embrace.
He started to pray softly. I started to cry. He continued his prayer
for Loretta and for God's perfect will to be done. I cried some more. My
body shook a bit as I cried and he just held tighter. He closed by asking
God's blessing on Loretta and the family during the coming months. I stepped
away from our embrace, wiped my eyes, swiped at the tears I'd left on
his shoulder, and looked into the eyes of our president. I thanked him as
best I could and told him that me and my family would continue praying for
he and his.
As I write this account down and reflect upon what it means, I have to
tell you that all I really know is that his simple act left me humbled
and believing. I so hoped that the man I thought him to be was the man
that he is. I know that our nation needs a man such as this in the
Oval Office. George W. Bush is the real deal. I've read Internet
stories about the President praying with troops in hospitals and other
such uplifting accounts. Each time I read them I hope them to be true
and not an Internet perpetuated myth. This one, I know to be true. I
was there. He is real. He has a pile of incredible stuff on his plate
each day - and yet he is tuned in so well to the here and now that he
'sensed' something heavy on my heart. He took time out of his life to
care, to share, and to seek God's blessing for my family in a simple
man-to-man, father-to-father, son-to-son, husband-to-husband,
Christian-to-Christian prayerful embrace. He's not what I had hoped he
would be. He is, in fact, so very, very much more.
"Pray for our President".

"Family Matters"
I love the family "feel" here and hope to gain some family friends of my own.
My 3 grandchildren from Miami are here for about a month or longer. Its been two weeks today.... whew are they a hand full and do I ever feel old. I have decided I don't care what my house looks like or I look like as long as I am doing something with the kids or watching them do something. Its been so hot they haven't wanted to ride their 4 wheelers as much because of all the "gear" their Dad makes them put on. ( He is a little "anal" about things like that!) If they were my children they could go with the helmet and that'd be great but their not and I have to follow some rules. But I don't hear myself saying, "not right now, or just wait a minute". Its, "okay, lets do that now" or "how about we do this instead?" My laundry room is full of 4 wheeler gear and shoes of all sizes and the hampers are full. I can't believe how many clothes these little people wear!!! I have two guest rooms but right now one is a play room and one is the "sleeping room". I don't think I have made a bed since they have been here!! Its just fun, fun, fun.!!
Isn't that what we want from our heavenly Father?? Love, attention and to have him listen to us right now and not in a few minutes or wait till I get time or I just can't do it now. Or my favorite, I promise you we will, but just not right now! My earthly Father was always there for me too and he always knew when I needed him or just needed to talk or to have a hug. He was the best Dad anyone could ever have. He was so loving and kind and full of joy, I think thats why I have such a great feeling toward God. I fear Him out of respect but I love him for the the pure fact he loves me and I know it!!! I want my grandchildren to know the love that I had as a child and an adultand more than that I want them to know and feel the love of God. I just wish my Dad were here to enjoy them with us. He would have been right in the middle of all of it. Enjoy your parents and your grandchildren while you still can, we never know what tomorrow holds!!

The Fall
A man named Jack was walking along a steep cliff one day, when he accidentally got too close to the edge and fell. On the way down he grabbed a branch, which temporarily stopped his fall. He looked down and to his horror saw that the canyon fell straight down for more than a thousand feet.
He couldn't hang onto the branch forever, and there was no way for him to climb up the steep wall of the cliff. So Jack began yelling for help, hoping that someone passing by would hear him and lower a rope or something.
HELP! HELP! Is anyone up there? "HELP!"
He yelled for a long time, but no one heard him. He was about to give up when he heard a voice. Jack, Jack. Can you hear me?"
"Yes, yes! I can hear you. I'm down here!"
"I can see you, Jack. Are you all right?"
"Yes, but who are you, and where are you?
"I am the Lord, Jack. I'm everywhere."
"The Lord? You mean, GOD?"
"That's Me."
"God, please help me! I promise if, you'll get me down from here, I'll stop sinning. I'll be a really good person. I'll serve You for the rest of my life."
"Easy on the promises, Jack. Let's get you off from there; then we can talk."
"Now, here's what I want you to do. Listen carefully."
"I'll do anything, Lord. Just tell me what to do."
"Okay. Let go of the branch.""What?" "I said, let go of the branch. Just trust Me. Let go."
There was a long silence.
Finally Jack yelled, "HELP! HELP! IS ANYONE ELSE UP THERE?"

The Shoe Man
I showered and shaved............... I adjusted my tie.
>
> I got there and sat.............. In a pew just in time.
>
> Bowing my head in prayer......... As I closed my eyes.
>
> I saw the shoe of the man next to me..... Touching my own. I sighed.
>
> With plenty of room on either side...... I thought, "Why
>
> must our soles touch?"
>
> It bothered me, his shoe touching mine... But it didn't
>
> bother him much.
>
>
> A prayer began: "Our Father"............. I thought, "This
>
> man with the shoes.. has no pride.
>
> They're dusty, worn, and scratched. Even worse, there are holes on the
>side!
>
>
> "Thank You for blessings," the prayer went on.
>
> The shoe man said............... a quiet "Amen."
>
> I tried to focus on the prayer....... But my thoughts were
>
> on his shoes again
>
> Aren't we supposed to look our best.. When walking through that door?
>
> "Well, this certainly isn't it," I thought, Glancing toward the floor.
>
> Then the prayer was ended............ And the songs of praise began.
>
> The shoe man was certainly loud...... Sounding proud as he sang.
>
> His voice lifted the rafters......... His hands were raised high.
>
> The Lord could surely hear.. The shoe man's voice from the sky.
>
> It was time for the offering......... And what I threw in was steep.
>
> I watched as the shoe man reached.... Into his pockets so deep.
>
> I saw what was pulled out............ What the shoe man put in.
>
> Then I heard a soft "clink" . as when silver hits tin.
>
> The sermon really bored me.......... To tears, and that's no lie
>
> It was the same for the shoe man..... For tears fell from his eyes.
>
> At the end of the service........ As is the custom here
>
> We must greet new visitors.. And show them all good cheer.
>
> But I felt moved somehow............. And wanted to meet the shoe man
>
> So after the closing prayer.......... I reached over and shook his hand.
>
> He was old and his skin was dark..... And his hair was truly a mess
>
> But I thanked him for coming......... For being our guest.
>
> He said, "My names' Charlie.......... I'm glad to meet you, my friend."
>
> There were tears in his eyes......... But he had a large, wide grin
>
> "Let me explain," he said........... Wiping tears from his eyes.
>
> "I've been coming here for months.... And you're the first to say 'Hi.'"
>
> "I know that my appearance........."Is not like all the rest
>
> "But I really do try................."To always look my best."
>
> "I always clean and polish my shoes.."Before my very long walk.
>
> "But by the time I get here........."They're dirty and dusty, like
>chalk."
>
> My heart filled with pain............ and I swallowed to hide my tears
>
> As he continued to apologize......... For daring to sit so near.
>
> He said, "When I get here..........."I know I must look a sight.
>
> "But I thought if I could touch you.."Then maybe our souls might unite."
>
> I was silent for a moment............ Knowing whatever was said
>
> Would pale in comparison... I spoke from my heart, not my head.
>
> "Oh, you've touched me," I said......"And taught me, in part;
>
> "That the best of any man............"Is what is found in his heart."
>
> The rest, I thought,................. This shoe man will never know.
>
> Like just how thankful I really am... That his dirty old shoe touched my
>soul
>
>
> You are special to me and you have made a difference in my life.
>
> I respect you, and truly cherish you my blog friends. Send this to your friends,
>
> No matter how often you talk, Or how close you are, >
Let old friends know you haven't forgotten them, and tell
>
> new friends you never will.
>
> Remember, everyone needs a friend.
>
> Someday you might feel like you have no friends at all. Just remember
>this story and take comfort in knowing that

Winter of Life
You youngun's read all the way to the end!!
You know, time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware of the passing years.
It seems just yesterday that I was a young girl, just married and embarking on my new life with my husband.
And yet in a way, it seems like eons ago, and I wonder where all the years went. I know that I lived them all... And I have glimpses of how it was back then and of all my hopes and dreams...
But, here it is...the winter of my life and it catches me by surprise....How did I get here so fast? Where did the years go and where did my babies go? And where did my youth go?
I remember well...seeing older people through the years and thinking that those older people were years away from me and that winter was so far off that I could not fathom it or imagine fully what it would be like...
But, here it is...married to my high school sweetheart after 30 years and he's really getting gray...he moves slower and I see an older man now. He's in much better shape than me...but, I see the great change...
Not the one I knew in high school who was dark and young and strong... but, like me, his age is beginning to show and we are now those older folks that we used to see and never thought we'd be.
Each day now, I find that just getting a shower is a real target for the day! And taking a nap is not a treat anymore...it's mandatory! Cause if I don't on my own free will...I just fall asleep where I sit!
And so, now I enter into this new season of my life unprepared for all the aches and pains and the loss of strength and ability to go and do things.
But, at least I know, that though the winter has come, and I'm not sure how long it will last...This I know, that when it's over...I will enjoy the Spring in the arms of my loving Father...and wait for my loved ones to come when their winter is over too...
So, if you're not in your winter yet...let me remind you, that it will be here faster than you think. So, whatever you would like to accomplish in your life please do it quickly!
For remember that scripture?...our life is but a vapor, it vanishes away...So, do what you can today, because you can never be sure whether this is your winter or not!
You have no promise that you will see all the seasons of your life... so, live for the Lord today and say all the things that you want your loved ones to remember...

Glenda's Blog Spot
Today, when I awoke, I suddenly realized that this is the best day of my life, ever
There were times when I wondered if I would make it to today; but I did!
And because I did I'm going to celebrate!
Today, I'm going to celebrate what an unbelievable life I have had so far: the accomplishments, the many blessings, and, yes, even the hardships because they have served to make me stronger.
I will go through this day with my head held high and a happy heart.
I will marvel at God's seemingly simple gifts:
the morning dew,
the sun,
the clouds,
the trees,
the flowers,
the birds.
Today, none of these miraculous creations will escape my notice.
Today, I will share my excitement for life with other people.
I'll make someone smile.
I'll go out of my way to perform an unexpected act of kindness for someone I don't even know. Today, I'll give a sincere compliment to someone who seems down. I'll tell a child how special he is, and I'll tell someone I love just how deeply I care for them and how much they mean to me.
Today is the day I quit worrying about what I don't have and start being grateful for all the wonderful things God has already given me. I'll remember that to worry is just a waste of time because my faith in God and his Divine Plan ensures everything will be just fine.
And tonight, before I go to bed, I'll go outside and raise my eyes to the heavens. I will stand in awe at the beauty of the stars and the moon, and I will praise God for these magnificent treasures.
As the day ends and I lay my head down on my pillow,
I will thank the Almighty for the best day of my life.
And I will sleep the sleep of a contented child,
excited with expectation because
I know tomorrow is going to be the best day of my life, ever!

The Law is the Law
THE LAW IS THE LAW

So if the US government determines that it is against the law for the words "under God" to be on our money, then, so be it. And if that same government decides that the "Ten Commandments" are not to be used in or on a government installation, then, so be it. And since they already have prohibited any prayer in the schools, on which they deem their authority, then so be it. I say, "so be it," because I would like to be a law abiding US citizen. I say, "so be it," because I would like to think that smarter people than I are in positions to make good decisions. I would like to think that those people have the American Publics' best interests at heart. BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE? Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot Post His Commandments in Government buildings, I don't believe the Government and it's employees should participate in the Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor the God that our government is eliminating from many facets of American life.
I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter. After all, it's just another day. I'd like the US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as well as Sundays. After all, it's just another day.
I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives to not have to worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break." After all it's just another day.
I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all government offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter.
It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other day of the week to a government that is trying to be "politically correct."
In fact.... I think that our government should work on Sundays (initially set aside for worshipping God...) because, after all, our government says that it should be just another day....
What do you all think???? If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected officials will stop giving in to the minority opinions and begin, once again, to represent the 'majority' of ALL of the American people.
So Be It!
